Crazy weather

The wind and sea spray has been howling for 3 days straight now with gusts today up to 37kmh, the effects are so damaging to my garden. There is not much I can do to help and protect from the wind. I have put big boards of ply up supported by star pickets to protect my citrus trees. After the weather calms down its pretty much back to square one for many of the plants. Its a wonder I keep going back. Sucker for punishment I guess.
How does your garden survive crazy weather?

The garden that gives

Some of my goodies from the garden. Another big cluster of banana's, a few butternut pumpkins, little caps, zucchini, snake beans, okra and chilies.
I thought my poor garden has been somewhat deprived of my attention of late as I have been so busy with renovations, family visits and school holidays, but she just keeps giving.
It has been rather hot and some plants have kicked up a stink at my lack of attention and died or just dont provide, so I think its due time I get back to it and give her some serious loving

Garden to the plate

The perfect post #Parkrun breakfast.
Leek (from my mumma's garden), parsley and mint omelette (eggs from my girls out the back), topped with yellow and tiger cherry tomatoes with a big dollop of greek yogurt mixed with added dill, ground coriander and cumin and seasoned with salt and pepper.
Followed with a nice cold glass of my kombucha.
Now heading across to the beach for a refreshing swim and ocean cleanse.
How did you start your morning today?
